LIFE MEMBERS

1995 : Neville Brown Original (Oak Park) Water Polo Club founder, organizing the first men’s team in 1985. Over the years has served as President, Secretary and Treasurer, coached the subsequent women’s teams and is now retired. His last game was the 2003 State Champs SL5 premiership win.

1998 : Gary McKinnon Long term player, who until 2007 held the men’s record for the most games played. A dedicated and reliable player with impressive speed. An injury forced Gary into retirement in early 2004, when he was still winning the swim ups at age 50+

1999 : Michael Boyle Was the driving force behind the club’s relocation and Oak Park-Essendon, then Essendon name changes, resulting in EFCSC funding. A long term player (goalie), who also coached the women. He served on the committee for a period of time and is a former Club President

2005 : Darren Steere Long term player and current club coach. Has provided significant financial support to the club and also provides his services as a Vic Polo Referee. Has served as a State Junior Coach and has taken EWPC squads away for country and national competitions. Darren was instrumental in developing our women and pushing forward with an elite SL1 squad.

2007 : Sheridan Mom Long term player for the club who played in the inaugural 1990 women’s team. Until recently, she held the club’s all time record for the most games played and has served as Club Secretary. Sheridan was a major contributor to the women’s A team over the years, and now enjoys a more relaxed game on our women's B team.

2007 : Lisa Murray-Segal Is now the longest serving member in the club’s history – playing in her 34th year. She holds the club’s all time game record, at 700+ games. She served as Club President and is currently the WSL3 Team Manager. Lisa also produces the club’s newsletter, The Weekly Wrap and the annual Year Book.
